Serene, peaceful and one of a kind, a truly amazing place to stay and visit... Our stay at Mangarara Eco Lodge & Education Centre was exceptional. The serenity, peacefulness and warmth of the place and our hosts Greg and Rachel Hart was very much appreciated. Apart from the abundant bird life, quality accommodation and access to kayaking (around the lake), Greg, Rachel and the team have done a wonderful job of creating a sustainable model of farming for the future. The eco-lodge is perfectly set up and caters for families, couples and groups that wish to get away from it all and experience the best rural New Zealand has to offer. It just feels like home away from home...

Perfect getaway weekend Opening up the doors to a magnificent view is what started our weekend off right. The location is stunning. The owners have thought of everything to make the stay enjoyable. And when the night sky lights up it is absolutely amazing!! Greg’s hospitality of taking us out on the farm both days was terrific. He could probably write a book of all the towny questions he gets asked :)
